Where we are from Anchorage
We’re on N English Station Rd in the 40223 area, a few minutes southeast of the City of Anchorage. Every route Google Maps suggests follows La Grange Road out of town and then turns onto N English Station Rd or Heafer Rd:
- La Grange Rd and N English Station Rd: about 4 minutes, 1.6 miles. This was Google’s fastest route when we checked.
- La Grange Rd and Heafer Rd: about 5 minutes, 1.5 miles.
- KY 146 (La Grange Rd) and N English Station Rd: about 5 minutes, 2.2 miles.

Why a five-minute drive matters
When the closest shop and the right shop are the same place, you don’t have to choose between convenience and expertise. Turning Wrenches has worked only on European vehicles since 2013. The shop is equipped with OEM brand-specific diagnostic equipment, which is rare among independent shops, and staffed by master-certified technicians who use the parts and fluids each manufacturer approves.
Being this close also makes our convenience options easier to use. Drop the car before work and take a free loaner. Ride the shuttle home, a trip of only a couple of miles. Or ask us to pick the car up. Tell us which you’d like when you book.
What we work on
We service Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI and Porsche cars and SUVs, plus Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Metris vans. That includes:
- Factory-scheduled maintenance, from oil service to the longer-interval items owners tend to put off.
- Check engine light diagnosis with brand-specific tools that read every control module, not a generic code reader.
- Brakes, including the electronic wear sensors many European cars use.
- Battery and electrical service, including battery registration on cars that need it.
- Cooling system leaks, A/C performance, suspension and steering.
Not sure what’s wrong? Describe what the car is doing when you book, and we’ll start with a diagnosis.
How a visit works
- Book online or by phone, and tell us whether you want a loaner, the shuttle or pick-up.
- Diagnose. We check the car with factory-level equipment for your make.
- Approve. You get an itemized estimate showing what’s urgent and what can wait. Nothing is repaired without your approval.
- Drive home covered. Qualifying repairs carry our 36-month / 36,000-mile nationwide warranty.
