Quick answer
Turning Wrenches European Auto Repair is at 1304 N English Station Rd, Louisville, KY 40223, east of Glenview and Indian Hills. Google Maps puts the drive at about 16 minutes (11.5 miles) from Glenview by the Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265), and 19 to 21 minutes (10 to 13 miles) from Indian Hills. The shop works only on Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche and Sprinter vehicles, and offers free loaners, shuttle or pick-up.
Where we are from the river cities
Glenview and Indian Hills are small cities near the Ohio River in northeastern Jefferson County. Glenview is known for its estate homes on the bluffs above the river, and part of it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Glenview Historic District. Indian Hills took its present form in 1999, when four neighboring small cities merged by referendum.
The shop is east of both, on N English Station Rd. Here’s what Google Maps showed when we checked in October 2026:
| Starting point | Route | Time and distance |
|---|---|---|
| Glenview | I-265 (fastest) | About 16 min, 11.5 mi |
| Glenview | River Rd, then I-265 | About 16 min, 12.3 mi |
| Indian Hills | I-71, then I-265 | About 19 min, 13.0 mi |
| Indian Hills | Westport Rd (KY 1447) | About 20 min, 11.9 mi |
| Indian Hills | Shelbyville Rd (US 60) | About 21 min, 10.3 mi |
Traffic changes which route is fastest. When we checked, Google preferred Shelbyville Road from Indian Hills. For a live route, use directions from Glenview or directions from Indian Hills.
Why drive 20 minutes for service?
A quick oil change can happen anywhere. A European car with a warning light, an intermittent electrical fault or a dealer estimate that seems too high is different. Here’s what you get for the drive:
- A shop that only works on European vehicles, and has since 2013: Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche and Sprinter.
- OEM brand-specific diagnostic equipment. It’s rare among independent shops, and it means a fault is diagnosed instead of guessed at. See engine diagnostics.
- The right parts and fluids, for less. We use OEM-quality parts and manufacturer-approved fluids, and we’re often about 20% less than local dealers. See the dealer comparison.
- Porsche expertise. Stuttgart Specialists, a Louisville Porsche shop, is now part of Turning Wrenches. See Porsche service.
- A 36-month / 36,000-mile nationwide warranty on qualifying repairs. See warranty details.
Make the distance a non-issue
The drive matters less when you don’t have to make it twice or wait around:
- Free loaners. Drop the car and leave in a loaner.
- Shuttle. Ask whether a shuttle ride works for your address.
- Pick-up. Ask when you book and we’ll confirm whether pick-up works for your address and timing.
- Same-day service is often available for maintenance and many repairs, so book early in the day.
- An itemized estimate before any work. You can approve it by phone without coming back in.
Bring a dealer quote
If a dealership has already quoted you, bring the written, itemized estimate and we’ll take 20% off, up to $1,000 off. Engine, transmission and tire replacements and certain other repairs are excluded. New customers also get a $79.95 Audi, BMW or MINI oil change, $195 Mercedes-Benz Service A or B, or $79 off Porsche and Sprinter service. See the offers page for terms.
